Job Description:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Community Engagement & Relationship Building:
    • Represent Seven Counties Services at community events, meetings, and public forums.
    • Serve as a liaison between the organization and select community stakeholders.
  • Outreach & Education:
    • Develop and implement outreach initiatives to increase awareness of mental health, substance use, and developmental services.
    • Coordinate personal and organizational attendance at events, presentations, and resource fairs to educate the community.
    • Distribute informational materials and ensure accessibility to community resources.
  • Event Planning & Program Development:
    • Organize community events, awareness campaigns, and engagement activities.
    • Track and analyze outreach efforts to measure impact and effectiveness.
  • Advocacy & Resource Coordination:
    • Advocate for mental health, addiction recovery, and social services within the community.
    • Connect individuals and families with appropriate resources and services.
    • Identify gaps in service accessibility and propose solutions to improve community impact.

EDUCATION

  • Associate's degree in Social Work, Public Health, Marketing, Communications, or a related field required. Bachelor's degree in a Human Service discipline preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • Associate's degree with two plus years of experience in community outreach, social services, or nonprofit work, or
  • Bachelor's degree with one year of experience in community outreach, social services, or nonprofit work.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse populations.
  • Experience in event coordination and partnership development.
  • Passion for mental health advocacy and community service.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel within the service area and work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.
