About This Opportunity

Global Finishing Solutions is seeking an ambitious and dedicated Controller to join our team. This position will report to our Director of Accounting and is responsible for leading the financial functions at Global Finishing Solutions. Will produce periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, foster the growth and development of our internal and external relationships and maintain a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk.

This is a collaborative position in which you will work with a variety of business units at GFS to address billing, special terms, credit and collections and other related accounting questions. What You Will Do

• Manage direct reports to achieve maximum performance for the organization. This includes motivating, developing, training, and performance reviews.
• Adhere to the company's financial budget. Safeguard assets and ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls, and checks across all departments.
• Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general and entity accounting, and cost accounting.
• Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate company ventures or special projects, programs, capital expenditures, product costing, etc. when necessary
• Provide reports and communicate to management the status of performance metrics on an on-going basis
• Assist the leadership team in the development of business plans that attain the revenue, gross margin, and income objectives on an annual basis, including KPI dashboards, etc.
• Enhance and/or develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the company

What You Have to Offer

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, CPA or CMA preferred
• Minimum of five years of leadership experience
• 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated track record of results and increased responsibility through career growth
• Excellent communication skills and demonstrate GFS' core values
• Ability to mentor, grow and develop individuals (critical thinking skills in decision making)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to manage and develop strategic initiatives
• Ability to direct and manage issues of the company financial year audits
