The Director, Business Process Management (BPM) - Kidney Care is responsible for leading the seamless integration of laboratory testing for dialysis patients across a national network of 20+ laboratories. This role will drive standardization and efficiency across laboratories, logistics, testing, billing, supply chain, IT connectivity, and customer support to ensure compliance with committed service standards. The Director will work cross-functionally to enhance the end-to-end laboratory service model for dialysis patients and support strategic growth initiatives.


  • Lead the national integration of dialysis laboratory testing services for national dialysis service providers across 20+ labs, ensuring seamless workflows and operational consistency.
  • Develop, implement and standardize end-to-end processes covering medical office, sample logistics, testing, reporting, billing, supply chain, IT connectivity, and customer support to meet service level agreements (SLAs) in collaboration with all applicable corporate functions and laboratories.
  • Manage to, establish and monitor KPIs and performance metrics to track quality, turnaround time (TAT), cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Optimize logistics and supply chain for timely specimen collection, transport, and testing to support dialysis patient care.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to enhance system connectivity, including LIMS integration, electronic health record (EHR) interoperability, and automated reporting for dialysis providers.
  • Work closely with internal and customer payer and revenue cycle management teams to ensure accurate and efficient billing for dialysis laboratory testing services.
  • Partner with customer service teams to improve client experience and resolution of service-related issues for dialysis providers.
  • Drive process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, cost savings, and scalability.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Finance, IT, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to support business objectives.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and expansions as applicable.
  • Provide regular business reviews,reporting, and performance insights to internal leadership and external partners.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required WorkExperience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Operations Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Work Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in business process management, laboratory operations, or dialysis-related healthcare services.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Up to 30% travel

Knowledge:

  • Strong expertise in dialysis clinical workflows and related laboratory testing needs, including clinical, logistics, regulatory compliance, and IT connectivity.
  • Experience implementing LEAN Six Sigmaand other process optimization methodologies.
  • Knowledge of laboratory revenue cycle management (billing, coding, and reimbursement) for dialysis services.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale onboarding of customers projects to a national laboratory.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and change management experience.
  • Experience and proficiency working in a matrixed, multi-site laboratory network.
  • Experience with LIMS, EHR integrations, and IT connectivity for laboratory operations.
  • Knowledge of laboratory billing, reimbursement, and revenue cycle processes for dialysis services.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation abilities
