Our clinic, which is on the west side of the Rio Grande River and situated alongside Albuquerque, NM, has been in operation for over 20 years and boasts a great relationships and outcomes within its community and the surrounding area. In Rio Rancho, you will be working directly alongside a collaborative team of CPOs and CPed/orthotic fitters who are there to assist you with patient care and fitting off-the-shelf items. We also have an unparalleled and dedicated prosthetic post-op team that streamlines wound care/ limb management for the many prosthetic patients that are in acute healing settings creating a steady stream of new prosthetic patients for the clinic. The Rio Rancho clinic serves patients across all ages (infants/ pediatrics through geriatrics) and across all types of O&P devices. There is a heavy emphasis on providing an exceptional patient experience and optimal clinical outcomes. This specific clinic is part of the larger Albuquerque market and works closely with 2 other clinics that services the greater Albuquerque area providing ample opportunities for larger team collaboration, support, and a shared wealth of experience. Additionally, there is a fabrication facility in the market with a highly skilled team of technicians to assist as needed. New Mexico is known for their blue skies, high desert climate and rich culture. You may find yourself enjoying outdoor activities such as year-round hiking in our beautiful mountains, fishing, biking, skiing, or floating the Rio Grande River in the summer. Additionally, Albuquerque is home to the International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta- the largest hot air balloon festival in the world. While the event happens annually in October, due to the year-round beautiful skies in New Mexico, you will encounter hot air balloons almost daily on your way to the clinic. As a Hanger Prosthetist and/or Orthotist, you will leverage exceptional training and an extensive collaborative clinical community nearly 1600 providers strong to provide or supervise the delivery of comprehensive prosthetic and orthotic care. You will assess patients, formulate treatment plans, implement those plans, follow-up with your patients and participate in practice management. If you have not yet achieved certification, you will provide care under the direction of one of our certified clinicians. You will enjoy combining your unique blend of clinical and technical skills to evaluate patients, custom design, fabricate and fit prostheses and/or orthoses to deliver exceptional outcomes for the patients you serve. You will collaborate with other members of the rehabilitation team and innovate utilizing the latest technology as we all strive to empower human potential together. Your Impact Depending on the operational requirements, size of the Hanger Clinic and subject to limitations imposed by state and/or local law, your role may include some or all of the functions listed below.
Collaborate with physicians in the evaluation and analysis of a patient's need for prosthetic and/or orthotic services; recommend treatment options to physicians when necessary.
