We are currently seeking a Senior Computer Engineer to provide technical and engineering support to PMA - 205 - Naval Aviation Training Systems and Ranges Program Office. PMA-205 is responsible for the development, integration, and sustainment of aviation training systems and simulators across a wide range of Navy and Marine Corps platforms. The engineer will apply expertise in computer engineering to support the acquisition, development, testing, and lifecycle management of training systems and embedded computing technologies.

Duties:



  • Provide technical engineering support for the design, development, integration, and testing of aviation training systems, simulators, and associated hardware/software components.
  • Evaluate and verify system compliance with requirements, including cybersecurity, interoperability, and software safety standards.
  • Participate in the development of system specifications, interface control documents, and software architectures.
  • Perform systems engineering analyses related to embedded software, modeling & simulation, virtual/augmented reality, and digital twin environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, software developers, cybersecurity professionals, and logistics personnel.
  • Provide input into acquisition documentation including Statements of Work (SOWs), Performance Work Statements (PWSs), Technical Requirements Documents (TRDs), and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
  • Participate in design reviews, program reviews, technical interchange meetings, and integrated product teams (IPTs).
  • Ensure alignment with Navy and DoD engineering standards, policies, and cybersecurity requirements (e.g., DoDI 5000.87, RMF, STIGs, etc.).
  • Support efforts related to software/hardware refresh, obsolescence mitigation, and open architecture initiatives.


Required Experience:



  • 12+ years of experience performing duties described in the functional description.
  • 3+ years of experience directly related to naval systems.


Required Education:



  • MS or MA degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related scientific discipline.


ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: A BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related scientific discipline and an additional four (4) years of recent and relevant experience may be substituted for a MS or MA degree. These four (4) years of experience are in addition to the required minimum of twelve (12) years to meet the "Experience" requirements below, therefore, requiring a total of fourteen (16) years of experience.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $110,323.71-$165,485.57 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
