We are seeking a skilled Technician in Integration Engineering who will leverage their technical expertise and leadership to ensure safe and efficient human spaceflight. This role involves setting up production areas, operating precision tools, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to support our mission of safe space exploration. Position Specific Details: **Shift: Sunday - Wednesday 6pm-4:30am, Location: Space Coast, FL, Relocation: Available** Key Responsibilities:
Team Focus & Domain Expertise: This role supports the refurbishment of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. Tasks include the meticulous maintenance of spaceflight hardware, the replacement of electrical wire harnesses and instrumentation, as well as the precise drilling of close tolerance holes in various types of metals and composites. The team is adept at complex mechanical assembly, crane rigging operations, and lifting, showcasing their versatility and technical prowess. They assist engineers in the review and enhancement of design concepts, ensuring that our equipment not only meets but exceeds the stringent requirements of space travel. With a deep familiarity with assembly fixture tooling, they follow and interpret detailed work instructions for intricate mechanical installations. In addition to their technical duties, the Refurbishment team is encouraged to innovate and improve processes, aiming to increase the efficiency of operations and contribute to the continuous improvement of our spaceflight systems. Their commitment to quality and safety is paramount, as they work flexible schedules to support all shifts and overtime, as necessary, to meet the demands of the business. Training for new members begins on the day shift and may last several months, emphasizing the depth of expertise required for this role.
