Job Summary:
Designs, develops, implements, and oversees health and safety programs in accordance with the Enterprise Health & Safety (EHS) strategy, which includes program marketing and immersion of programs at PG&E to improve employee safety. Manages activities associated with safety programs including planning, coordinating, monitoring, and reporting effectiveness of such programs. Responsible for organizing, leading, and facilitating cross-functional teams as well as communicating programs. Works with EHS leaders to strategize and execute program initiatives; supports execution by providing tools to leadership and health champions. Develops and delivers presentations and training courses.

This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will bebased on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience,market value, geographic location, and internal equity.This job is also eligible to participate inPG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.
A reasonable salary range is:
California Minimum:$128,000
California Maximum: $218,000
Bay Area Minimum: $ 122,000
Bay Area Maximum: $207,000
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and based on business needs.
Job Description:
- Lead and oversee the implementation of Serious Injury and Fatalities (SIF) reduction initiatives and High Energy Control Assessments (HECA) programs including Capacity & Learning Model including the Energy Sources, Energy Wheel and Essential Controls and Learning Teams within PG&E.
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to advance the objectives and goals of SIF and HECA programs.
- Monitor program performance and outcomes, tracking key metrics and indicators to evaluate success and identify areas for improvement, with a primary focus on reducing serious injuries and fatalities.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement within SIF and HECA programs, identifying opportunities for optimization and expansion to maximize impact and reach in promoting a safe work environment.
- Proven experience in developing and executing enterprise-wide programs.
- Recognized subject matter expert who represents PG&E in regulatory and/or industry forums, including the Edison Electric Institute, on subject of expertise.
- Leads development of Safety program goals and metrics to meet company goals and objectives and goals.
- Creates safety standards and policies that meet regulatory compliance and represent best practices.
- Recognizes, evaluates, recommends, and implements PG&E Safety policies and procedures to assure awareness of and compliance with Safety requirements.
- Makes presentations to senior leadership as well as communicating program philosophy, information, and operational policies and procedures.
- Ensures that quality control procedures are established to monitor all aspects of regulatory compliance.
- Must keep fully informed on all existing and proposed changes in occupational health and safety regulations.
- Develops and implements programs including leading coordination and facilitating of program review sessions with leaders and/or functional groups to review costs, schedule, and program effectiveness.
- Promotes programs to enhance and encourage employee awareness of safety, accident/incidents, industrial hygiene and regulatory compliance.
- Solves unique and complex problems, anticipating issues and developing innovative solutions.
- Collaborates across organization to ensure alignment of goals to support program.
- Responsible for utilizing other departments and teams to meet program goals.
- Organize and lead cross-utility project teams to influence utility, regulatory and/or industry decisions.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- BA / BS degree or equivalent experience
- 9 years of safety and program development/management experience in a construction, utility, or other industrial environment or master's degree in safety specific area and 7 years of safety and program development experience in a construction, utility, or other industrial environment
