Overview

The Senior Campaign Planner supports various campaign planning efforts at USTRANSCOM headquarters located on Scott AFB, IL. This individual provides on-site planning support and serves as a member of a consultant team performing tasks in support of the five Global Campaign Plans (GCP), the USTRANSCOM Combatant Command Campaign Plan (CCP), and DoD's Functional Campaign Plan for Global Deployment and Distribution (FCP-GDD).

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility for the individual in this of position is to support USTRANSCOM's Strategic Plans, Policy & Logistics Directorate (TCJ5/J4) in the development, maintenance, execution, and assessment of Global Campaign Planning efforts and activities (e.g., working groups, cross functional teams, conferences, seminars, VTCs, staff coordination, etc.). In direct support of this task, the individual shall perform the following:

    Assist in leading or facilitating joint planning groups (JPGs) and other working groups with USTRANSCOM, Defense Agencies, Services, Combatant Commands, the Joint Staff, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense, including senior officers or action officers, to develop, coordinate, implement, assess, and revise global and combatant command campaign plans.
  • Work across USTRANSCOM Directorates, other Combatant Commands, and the interagency in support of the development of USTRANSCOM strategy and campaign plans.
  • Assist in developing, maintaining, assessing, and/or recommend changes to the five Global Campaign Plans and other strategic plans as required and in accordance with the Global Employment of the Force (GEF), Joint Strategic Campaign Plan (JSCP), and Joint Publication (JP) 5-0.
  • Assist with Global Campaign Plan Assessments by aggregating and analyzing collected information to determine trend analysis and determine impact upon the JDDE and the warfighter.
  • Participate in Joint Staff and OSD Policy directed Readiness Reviews, Cross Functional Teams (CFTs), and Global Campaign Plan (GCP) reviews as a subject matter expert to protect and safeguard USTRANSCOM equities.
  • Review supporting and complimentary plans (e.g., CCMD Campaign Plans (CCP), Functional Campaign Plans (FCP), Theater Distribution Plans (TDPs), Theater Posture Plans (TPPs)), directives, and doctrine in accordance with government criteria to ensure USTRANSCOM alignment with DoD strategic and planning guidance.
  • Provide multimodal, distribution, transportation, and logistics planning subject matter expertise for USTRANSCOM and TCJ5/J4 at other meetings, seminars, and conferences to discuss campaign planning objectives, effects, indicators, process changes, and other issues affecting global deployment and distribution.
  • Develop information briefings, informational point papers, executive summaries, and presentations as required.
  • Assist the government with related Task Management Tool (TMT) assignments. Assist in managing NIPR and SIPR collaboration web sites such as Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint and perform Knowledge/Storage Management functions in support of Global Campaign Planning related tasks.
  • Provide trip reports and after-action reports for campaign planning visits, seminars, conferences, in-process reviews, and meetings as required.


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's Degree with 13 years work experience or a Master's Degree with 10 years work experience
* Work experience in strategy development, planning, logistics, distribution, mobility operations, or supply chain management
* Strong oral and written communication capabilities
* Ability to work well with a team and foster a cooperative environment
* Must possess the ability to independently manage assigned tasks to completion
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of tools (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
* Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI) Security Clearance

Note: Selected applicants are subject to a government security investigation and LMI will only consider applicants with a minimum of an active SECRET clearance. Thereafter, must be able to attain and maintain a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance.

DESIRED SKILLS:

* Strategic or operational planning experience
* Working knowledge of the Joint Strategic Planning System
* Combatant command or service headquarters experience

Targeted Salary Range: $74,000 - $128,000
