JOB DESCRIPTION

This role is responsible for overseeing and executing administrative and processing tasks within Account Services to effectively support both internal and external customers. The Associate Account Services Coordinator ensures timely and accurate processing of customer requests, including benefit summaries, administrative-level changes, and contact updates. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate account data within the organization's systems and collaborates closely with Account Services Coordinators to provide high-level administrative support that strengthens relationships and contributes to the success of both our customers and Delta Dental.

This is a hybrid position based out of our Alpharetta, GA office. The role requires in-office presence twice per month, as well as attendance for meaningful events such as town halls, team meetings, team-building activities, volunteer events, and in-person training as needed. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. Eastern Time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain a strong understanding of system configurations related to customer benefit structures, products, and plan designs to accurately process administrative and non-rated changes for existing business.
  • Handle customer requests for information, benefit highlight summaries, and other administrative needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather and analyze data for client presentations and reports.
  • Research and resolve account-related issues using internal systems and workflows, ensuring timely communication of resolutions.
  • Interpret and summarize complex information from internal departments into clear, concise responses for external customers.
  • Support open enrollment meetings and occasionally deliver presentations at customer locations or via virtual platforms.
  • Assist with special projects and perform additional administrative responsibilities as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma required; additional education preferred.
  • 3 or more years of experience in Sales and Account Management with a focus on administrative and client support preferred.
  • Experience in both direct and indirect client support.
  • An insurance license may be required in some states.
  • Knowledge of Delta Dental and competitor products, service guarantees, Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs), and contractual language is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Current Dental Terminology (CDT) codes and dental nomenclature is a plus.

  • Ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to work a schedule of 9:30 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. eastern Monday through Friday.
  • Ability to report to the local office 2 times per month and as needed for meaningful events such as town halls, volunteering, team building, etc.

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications, and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 13. $33,600 - $67,900
