GENERAL FUNCTION

The Lead Facets Configuration Analyst works with the business configuration team to set up and manage health insurance benefits within the Facets claim adjudication system. This role is responsible for optimizing benefit set up, performing proof of concepts to document configuration design for hand off, and understanding down stream impacts (i.e. benefit display, claim input channels, ID cards, Encounters, reporting, etc).

This role will partner with business and other IT leaders to prioritize the configuration demand and support all respective Solution Development Lifecycle (SDCL) phases including: discovery, requirements gathering, configuration design, specification documentation, testing, training, implementation and support. Will also be responsponsible to ensure projects meet the expected business results in delivery and adoption.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Provide expertise in Facets Benefit Configuration to optimize benefit setup and administration
  • Troubleshoot claim errors by identifying and resolving issues related to incorrect benefit configuration impacting claim payments
  • Work with delivery team to implement Facets software upgrades and engage with vendors on software defects and enhancements
  • Act as technical business analyst to define requirements, document/explain configuration design and engage with development team to create and maintain benefit automation tools used by operations to gain efficiencies in setup
  • Ability to convey and sell the recommended changes ultimately seeking alignment across business teams
  • Participate in project planning and execution to meet deadlines and deliverables
  • Test system changes to ensure changes satisfy business requirements and are stable
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all phases of application implementation; keep IT management aware of issues and mitigation plans
  • Document work, including change requests and functional specifications, end user documentation, release notes, etc.
  • Ability to lead technical evaluations and conduct research & development in emerging technologies that could supplement Facets Configuration
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and enhance system performance.
  • Supervise and coach other configuration analysts, including external consultants as needed


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 7+ years' experience in IT/Business-related experience
  • Understanding of healthcare industry regulations
  • Certified Facets Professional or equivalent experience
  • Strong critical thinking and ability to quickly learn new technologies and business processes
  • Change agent to influence and look at processes from a different perspective
  • Ability to interpret complex data, identify discrepancies, and troubleshoot configuration issues
  • Proven experience with collecting and writing business requirements
  • Highly proficient and knowledgeable in MS Office applications; Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Technical expertise in the Facets platform and integrations
  • Good understanding of Facets data model
  • Experience with databases, ability to create, execute, and understand SQL queries
  • Knowledge of service integration and testing using tools, such as Postman
  • Experience utilizing requirements definition methodology, best practices and standards in healthcare/insurance industry that meet business need
  • Experience with test automation and performance testing tools
