JOB DESCRIPTION:

1) Responsible for all aspects of Radio Frequency/Microwave (RF/MW) Integrated Circuit (IC) circuit development cycle, testing, and integration based on advanced complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) or RF silicon-on-insulator (SOI) technologies.

2) Perform hand-on circuit design, electromagnetic (EM) simulation, and spice simulation for highly integrated beamforming transceiver IC for multi-gigabit wireless communications at mm Wave.

3) Work closely with IC test engineers and manufacturing engineers on characterization, production testing, and qualification of RFIC components and systems.

4) Perform optimization, process-voltage-temperature (PVT) analysis, and temperature compensation, mirroring bias, and replicate bias circuit.

5) Perform IC floor planning and layout, including packaging models and evaluation of external needs.

6) Perform layout versus schematic (LVS) and design rule checking (DRC).

7) Design and test supporting circuits and define the architecture, design, simulation, layout, and extracted simulation; to include characterizing and analyzing the performance.

8) Share knowledge of product characterization, test plan, and test automation, to include assisting as needed in development of automated test lab equipment for measurements.

9) Provide RFIC solutions for integration into System on the Chip (SoC) and carrying them through mass production for company products.

10) Consult on RF/analog issues across the company.

11) Confer with cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative product solutions.

12) Collaborate with digital design teams, chip implementation teams, and third-party suppliers to define analog and digital boundary requirements for circuit calibration, clock generation, and timing and to drive key aspects of product definition, execution, and optimization.

13) Create the most power-optimized solution for a given system performance.

14) Work with technology team on process selection for the target devices and act as a subject matter expert.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. PhD or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.

2. Employer will accept a Master's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field and four years of experience in RFIC Design in lieu of a PhD degree.

3. Work experience to include: (1) mm Wave circuit design, to include working with amplifier, mixer, filter, phase shifter, LNA, power amplifier, VCO, or PLL. (2) Using computer-aided design (CAD) tools, including Cadence virtuoso, EMX, Mentor Graphics, MATLAB, Advanced Design System (ADS), Spectre, Calibre, and Quantus. (3) Utilizing cadence tools. (4) Working with a broad range of analog or radio-frequency integrated circuit (RFIC) designs.

4. 40 hours/week.

5. Salary: $166,941.00 to $213,333.33/yr.
