Description

The leader of the Department of Pediatrics project management and strategic initiative function will spearhead department-wide strategic initiatives that span all mission areas - clinical, research, education, and community and advocacy- while also strengthening foundational priorities such as support, wellness, inclusive excellence, community engagement, recruitment and retention, and communication. Working under the general direction of the CAO, the Project Policy Analyst 4 will identify opportunities, own complex projects, and ensure alignment with institutional goals. This portfolio of work has broad-reaching impacts, shaping the departmental long-term success by fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and leading organizational change. Through close partnerships across the organization, this position will be responsible for driving transformational change that enhances operations, improves the work environment, and ultimately strengthens the department's ability to serve its mission. The Project Policy Analyst 4 will also supervise current staff (2-3) of project management in the Department of Pediatrics with a portfolio that includes strategic plan implementation, training grant administration, etc.

Salary Range: $83,800 - $179,400 Annually

Qualifications

Required:


  • Bachelor's degree in related area and /or equivalent experience / training

  • Advanced knowledge of common organizational- or research-specific and other computer application programs.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and influence, both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.

  • Advanced project management skills.

  • Thorough knowledge of organizational or initiative processes, protocols and procedures. Required

  • Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.

  • Advanced knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques.


Preferred:

  • Advanced analytical/problem-solving skills.
