Data Systems Analysts, Inc. is searching for a Marketing and Communications Lead in our DOD Business Unit. This position requires a DOD Secret Clearance. This Marketing and Communications Lead will work as part of a team that develops and delivers information management and knowledge management services.

This role provides marketing, graphics, and communications support to a dynamic organization supporting the Army. The government customer team works in partnership with the DSA team and subcontractors to provide a cohesive support model to a varied customer base. Team members are respected and recognized for their role on the team. There is potential for professional development and career growth for motivated candidates.

Required Qualifications



  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Customer engagement experience, ability to develop relationships and understand customer needs
  • Over 5 years of design experience
  • Strong portfolio showcasing innovative concepts and creative solutions across both print and digital media
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and data visualization tools
  • Expertise in PowerPoint and strong knowledge of MS Word, with the ability to create impactful designs within those programs
  • Attention to detail, ensuring precision and quality in all work
  • Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint Online (SPO) experience
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to complete tasks with little to no supervision


Desired Qualifications




  • BA in graphic design, marketing, advertising, or a related field desired but not required
  • Ability to work with ambiguous and/or limited requirements
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, flexible, and receptive to constructive feedback


Key Responsibilities



  • Conceptualize and develop creative designs, from initial concepts to final products, while ensuring high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Deliver designs and visual assets while adhering to Army brand standards and MilTech guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain production equipment, including large-format plotters, while confidently handling traditional hands-on tools, such as X-Acto knives.
  • Collaborate in strategic meetings with MilTech Consortium organizations and team members to craft designs that align with client objectives-ranging from advertisements and flyers to comprehensive campaigns
  • Ability to manage design projects independently with a focus on innovation and effectiveness.
  • Efficiently handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production equipment issues.
  • Skilled in creating high-quality web graphics in multiple formats, ensuring optimized visuals for digital platforms.
  • Knowledge and ability to do framing
  • Provide meeting and event support, including creating tent cards, formatting speaker bios, and preparing presentation decks.
  • Direct engagement with customers to define project requirements and manage customer expectations
  • Author and contribute to technical documentation
  • Author and deliver reference and training resources
  • Manage project details and schedules
  • Provide formal and informal project status updates
  • Participate in creating and delivering briefings to customers at all levels
