The Production Operator II reports to the Production Manager and is responsible for raw material handling, equipment disassembly-cleaning-assembly, inspection, in-process sampling, HVAC monitoring, and shop sanitation.
- Monitor the shop's equipment via a computerized distributed process control system.
- Prepare raw materials for use including make-up of liquid citric and phosphoric acids and dumping of IP dextrose and IP sorbitol.
- Disassemble, clean and assemble weigh feeders, surge hoppers, flaker belts, equipment filters, mills, hoppers, tanks, evaporators, and sifters.
- Operate and monitor liquid dextrose resin treatment and evaporation equipment
- Remove and install equipment transitions and convey systems.
- Make-up chemical washes for the process equipment.
- Perform master sanitation activities in accordance with defined schedules.
- Must have a working telephone with voicemail so you can be contacted about schedule changes.
- Sample and document the process stream at various intervals and locations to monitor product quality. Record the appropriate information as directed.
- Perform minor mechanical tasks ensuring that equipment is in good operating condition.
- Operate within GMP guidelines at all times. Pay attention to product quality, food safety and area housekeeping.
- Assist in the completion of other departmental tasks as required.
Requirements:
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Must be able to work rotating shift (days and nights)
- Must be able to lift u to 50 lbs without reasonable accommodation
