Your role and responsibilities
As a Service Manager - Engineering Solutions, you will implement our service strategy and drives service growth at the respective unit level. Our Service Manager leads the Service organization and is responsible for the P&L to achieve performance targets and to optimize the utilization of Service resources. Your Responsibilities: * Creates and drives implementation of service strategy as a member of the management team. * Ensures that strategic plans are implemented consistently in the service organization through collaboration with other businesses. * Executes service and sales channel strategy within their own area of responsibility. * Implements productized service offerings and materials for marketing purposes and invests in service sales to increase market penetration. * Drives consistent development of processes and practices based on customer feedback (Net Promoter Score - NPS). * Ensures customer focus, understanding of sense of urgency and care in their own area of responsibility. * Drives, implements, reports, and monitors performance targets as part of the respective unit P&L (financial, productivity, investments, customer satisfaction, operational excellence, etc.). * Runs the day-to-day service business to ensure profitable growth and improvement of service productivity. * Implements agreed delivery and performance standards to ensure consistency in quality and customer satisfaction. * Invests in improving the quality of existing service products and in developing new service products to expand the portfolio in line with global direction. * Drives continuous improvement culture and the implementation of improvements to achieve service excellence and increase profitability in their own area of responsibility.
Qualifications for the role
- Demonstrated ability to understand, follow, and lead within NFPA 70E standards
- Strong working knowledge of common engineering software such as SKM, AutoCAD, etc.
- Strong working knowledge of Lock-out/Tag-out, Arc Flash, and Infrared services and technologies is preferred
- Organization agility, demonstrating ability to influence across levels and functions of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to listen to and influence customer subject matter experts
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead a diverse, high-performing, remote team
- Must have demonstrated analytical/problem-solving, project management/task planning, engineering risk assessment, creativity/innovation, and technical leadership skills
- Executive presence including calm perseverance in challenging or frustrating circumstances
- Demonstrated decision making in the face of incomplete or ambiguous information
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required; MBA or advanced degree in engineering preferred
- PE certification required
- Minimum 10 years of experience in an electrical safety and service-based organization within a highly technical environment
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a leadership role
