Who we are looking for: We are currently looking for an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to be based out of our Hobart, Indiana facility. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this person will be responsible for effectively supervising preventive and corrective maintenance with focus on electrical, on the plant's machinery and auxiliary systems. Additionally, the Electrical Supervisor will participate in the plant's 5S program and safety objectives, according to the company's safety, quality, housekeeping, and production standards. What you'll do:
- Evaluate the plant's machinery, systems, and best practices, determining the necessary maintenance and repairs to be performed.
- Assist teammates as necessary, helping achieve the plant's objectives.
- Participate in shift changeovers, ensuring effective communication of information.
- Work with the Value Stream Managers and Production Supervisors to plan work priorities, obtain necessary parts, and assess skills needed to complete tasks.
- Develop and execute Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and Critical Parts List (CPL) programs on all the plant's assets.
- Review, track and log all electrical maintenance work, checklists, manpower utilization, material utilization, and other resources used for the maintenance of plant electrical systems.
- Responding to emergency situations including the safety of plant facility and equipment using knowledge of the plant and equipment located therein.
- Ensuring that all operating procedures, maintenance, repairs, and safety guidelines, are being properly followed.
- Identifying enhancement opportunities and suggest solutions for improvement to the management team.
- Conducting in a manner consistent with Atkore's mission statement, core values, and other standards of conduct.
What you'll bring:
- High School diploma or GED.
- At least ten years of experience in maintenance in industrial environments.
- Ability to lift and manipulate up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per day.
- Experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems including the following: medium and low voltage distribution and protective devices, AC and DC systems, instrumentation, programmable logic controllers (PLCs) by A-B and Siemens, relay logic, overhead crane controls, and variable frequency drives (VFDs) by A-B and Siemens.
- Ability to effectively read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and automation schematics, prints, and one-line diagrams.
- Experience in mechanical systems as it relates to mechanical drives, transmissions, and rotating machinery.
- Experience and knowledge of best practices for effective rigging.
- Knowledge in various types of lubrication and lubrication systems.
- Experience in the management of projects of various sizes and levels of complexity.
Within 3 months, you'll:
- Have completed NFPA-70E (Arc Flash) training.
- Have acquired basic tube mill process knowledge.

In 6 months, you'll:
- Have acquired basic tube mill process knowledge.
- Have contributed to the development of the PM and PdM program for the plant.
- Have contributed to the successful commissioning and baselining of the new processes at the plant.
In 12 months, you'll:
- Have acquired significant tube mill process knowledge.
- Have contributed to successfully achieving various plant objectives.
- Have led and be leading multiple continuous improvement projects, supporting Atkore's short-term and long-term objectives.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $75,040 - $103,180. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives. Benefits available include:
