Process Technician I

While reporting to the Shift Lead, as the Process Technician, you will be responsible for collaborating and contributing to the production environment within our manufacturing operations.
You will be expected to maintain and improve upon existing manufacturing practices for the manufacture of finished goods. Safety, quality, productivity and strong work ethic are important to the Sonoco culture.

What You'll Be Doing:
* Maintain accuracy of processes during production. Modify processes as required for product orders. Correct errors and work with operators to constantly improve process clarification and effectiveness.
* Conducting mechanical tasks such as process monitoring, sampling and testing, preparing and isolating equipment for maintenance
* Provide technical support to shift for trouble shooting and problem resolution. Ensure equipment and processes meet and sustain standard production outputs
* Monitors operations process, work, and material flow to ensure quality and customer specs are met.
* Assisting maintenance with preventative maintenance projects.
* Training of Production Supervisors and other Process Technicians Performs all duties in a manner that demonstrates the highest level of quality and safety.

We'd love to hear from you if:
* Forklift experience
* Proficient in MS Office
* Understanding of how to read mechanical and part blueprints
* Critical thinker being able to provide ideas and corrective actions for ongoing manufacturing issues when installing new equipment
* Read and comprehend standard work instructions in English, math and measuring
* Arrive to work on time with a strong attendance record
