Key Responsibilities:

1. Play a key role in defining and delivering the 5-10 year vision of how clinical trials are delivered and operationalized at GSK to accelerate and increase the number of programs that can be delivered. Through a digital and data first approach, define and target to areas of GCO work that can be transformed to enable the new paradigm of technology enabled clinical trials.

2. Analyze strategic opportunities to determine their impact and guide the discovery of innovative solutions. This includes creating prototypes to sell the vision, hypothesis testing, vendor analysis, ideation workshops, development of strategic roadmaps, prioritization frameworks, business cases, defining success metrics, and detailed implementation plans.

3. Develop and communicate a coherent vision that integrates disparate projects, programs, and products to enhance the end-to-end drug development process and accelerate market delivery.

4. Act as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for implementation decisions regarding technical, data, product, and design direction. Lead change management efforts to drive adoption and satisfaction with solutions. They will employ a hypothesis-driven, evidence-led approach to value creation.

5. Bring together disparate projects, programs and products into a coherent vision that improves the end-to-end drug development process and accelerates getting medicines to market.

6. Develop success metrics, prioritization models, outcome-based roadmaps and implementation plans to drive a focus on the right problems, with the right priority and being able to tangibly measure progress towards value realization.

Key Qualifications:
Required Skills:

* 10 years of domain specific experience, with a focus on leveraging data to improve clinical operations.

* Experience leading and developing teams to achieve transformation impacts to the business.

* Expertise in two or more of the following: business process reengineering, business transformation, process optimization, product management, engineering, design, or related field.

* Experience leveraging Lean and / or Six Sigma methodologies and techniques

* Broad knowledge / understanding of the Pharma processes, particularly R&D

Preferred Skills:

* Broad knowledge / understanding of the Pharma processes, particularly R&D

* Proven ability to lead Cross functional teams from early conceptual work through to the final project delivery

* Deep understanding of Product Management, Software Engineering and the broader technology landscape.

* Demonstrated knowledge of Systems thinking principles

* Demonstrated ability to influence directly and indirectly through direct and indirect matrixed organizations and to simplify seemingly disparate and complex concepts to enable cross functional teams to deliver value against complex problem statements.

* Someone who excels at impactful stakeholder engagement with a demonstrated ability to align business need and expectations across senior and exec teams, chart the course and translate those needs and expectations into tangible outcomes.

* Experience in coaching and developing others.

* Experience in developing and deploying into software products, predictive modelling and mathematical foundations of applied ML and AI algorithms.

* Experienced in leading global teams (direct reports of more than 10) within a project/matrix leadership environment.
