Field Service Technician Assistant - FS0424 Sanders Brother Construction is currently seeking a self-starter Field Service Technician Assistant to assist in the maintenance of Sanders Brothers' vehicle fleet. The Service Technician Assistant will work with an experienced equipment mechanic to ensure the Company's equipment meets the demands of the crews. This position will provide on-site repair services for vehicle fleet used to support construction related projects in accordance with Department of Transportation and company safety guidelines. Responsibilities include: Assist with diagnosing, repairing, adjusting or overhauling mobile mechanical and pneumatic equipment including but not limited to excavators, crawler dozers, front end loaders, skid steers, backhoes, brooms, rollers, graders, pumps, and water trucks. Produce timely and detailed service reports Follow all company's filed procedures and protocols Consult equipment operating manuals, blueprints, and drawings Assist with performing scheduled maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating parts Continuously learns new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology Maintains an organized neat and safe vehicle repair bay Weekly travel required (local area) Welding or soldering broken parts by using gas or electric welders 50% of time will be spent in the field on site, other 50% of time spent in the shop. Test parts and systems to ensure that they are working properly Follow checklists to ensure that all critical parts are examined Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, giving tune-ups, checking fluid levels, and rotating tires Test equipment following repair Qualifications and Education Requirements 0 - 1 year of mechanical knowledge relating to electrical systems, welding and fabricating experience, and equipment repair, hydraulic system, safety and repair, diesel engine experience Ability to purchase and maintain tools Dedicated to their work with a positive attitude Pre-employment drug test/ background check will help assure we build teams of people who can best work with others and serve customer needs Three (3) year Motor Vehicle Record Required Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Profit Sharing, 401K, Vacation and Holiday About Us: Sanders Brothers Construction is a fully bonded, license and insured general contractor of street & road construction, and asphalt manufacturing.
