Field Service Tech - Seattle WA, Portland OR

We have an opportunity for a Field Service Tech to join our Seattle WA, Portland OR team. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair pool equipment and systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a customer-focused mindset. The ideal candidate will have experience with pool equipment or a background in similar industries like HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems.

You will:

  • Provide on-site technical support and repairs for pool systems, including pumps, filters, heaters, and automation controls
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with pool equipment, offering timely solutions for pool builders and servicers
  • Conduct preventative maintenance with the pool builder or servicer and recommend improvements to optimize system performance
  • Collaborate with pool professional to provide technical guidance and coordinate training efforts with Sales and the National Training team
  • Maintain detailed service records and report for each job
  • Ensure compliance with safety standard and protocols during all support interactions

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in pool equipment repair or related filed (HVAC, plumbing, or electrical)
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to work independently
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel

Location, Geography and Travel

  • Ideal candidate will be in the Seattle, WA or Portland, OR area
  • Current position covers Oregon, W. Washington and Hawaii
  • Travel will be up to 2-3 weeks (weekdays) a month depending on location

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated hourly base pay will be $31.00 hr. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs.

Work Schedule: This position does not follow a traditional set schedule. Work hours may vary depending on project requirements and business needs.
