Job Overview:

The Project Manager will oversee the day-to-day efforts of the Alliance for Equity in Cancer grant, including staff management, engagement efforts with partners, overseeing community advocacy and outreach efforts, and ensuring that health equity is promoted throughout all the program s objectives. The Project Coordinator will report to the Assistant Vice President of Oncology Access and Navigation and work with the Manager of Access and Navigation and internal and external Healthcare Community Partners.

Qualifications

Required:

  • B.A. or B.S. degree or higher
  • Experience managing a team
  • Dedicated to helping improve the lives of underserved, disenfranchised and marginalized communities
  • Excellent team player with the ability to be flexible, work collaboratively both internally and externally
  • Possesses good people and cultural competency skills
  • Must be very organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and take ownership of tasks
  • Ability for excellent communication listening, written, oral, and public speaking
  • Excellent computer skills, data entry and proficient in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams
  • Ability to work remotely as needed

Preferred

  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in public health with coursework in community engagement and outreach, community health or related field preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Essential Functions:

  • Work to oversee program management, monitor milestones, and metrics
  • Work collaboratively with the Manager of Oncology Access and Navigation on, food initiatives, barriers to oncology access and identify interventions to ease care coordination
  • Work collaboratively with RWJBH Navigators and Oncology Access Representatives to transition and support primary care provider s referrals of oncology patients
  • Develop and cultivate new collaborative relationships that aligned primary care providers, and patients with culturally appropriate resources
  • Work closely with healthcare partners, community-based organization partners and other community leaders/stakeholders to improve access to cancer care.
  • Develop and lead a strategic program plan in collaboration with community partners
  • Meet regularly with community partners to discuss progress on outreach, new ideas and strategies, and additional needs such more materials, language needs, etc.
  • Manage program staff oversight, and training
  • Track quality and evaluation metrics and report data; Support monthly and quarterly reporting; develop and maintain dashboards.
  • Attend events hosted by program in the community
