Job Description:The Director - Workforce of the Future Center executes key strategic and operational activities related to workforce development and retention across the John Muir Health enterprise, as well as externally facing activities that helps the health system understand industry trends and build strategic partnerships with community and educational partners to anticipate and design strategies to address future workforce needs. This strategic and facilitative position requires a combination of flexibility and focus to play an active role leading from the front as well as behind-the-scenes. The Director will be well-connected within the workforce development space to provide relevant outside resources, including speakers and trusted industry advisers that will create strong program enhancements. This position reports directly to the Executive Director of Belonging and Equity

Education/Experience/Skills Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Health Care Administration, Public Affairs or Related Field - Required

  • Master's Degree - Preferred

Additional Experience Requirements:

  • Five years Previous experience in Workforce Development Leadership Role - Required (within Healthcare Industry - Preferred)

  • Five to seven years' experience with managing direct reports - Preferred

  • Experience working in a Healthcare Environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Experience with Workday Suite.

  • Experience with virtual meeting platforms, including Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

  • Excellent people, communication and writing skills.

  • Requires some off-hours work to meet the needs of the above as well as some local travel.

  • Discretion in handling confidential information.

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.

  • Strong operations acumen and a forward thinking "big picture" perspective.

Work Shift:Exempt Salaried (United States of America)

Pay Range:

$152,254.00 - $228,381.00 Salary
Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.
Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word 'exempt' on it.
