Overview

Responsible for playing a key role in bridging Procurement and Operations, leading cross-functional initiatives that improve supply chain performance, support sourcing strategies, and drive operational excellence. The Sr Procurement Project Manager will lead procurement-related projects, expedite critical materials, and provide leadership to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and strong supplier performance. The ideal candidate is a confident communicator, natural leader, and strategic thinker with a solid foundation in procurement, operations, and project management.

Location and Travel:

This position is office based in one of the following locations: Fargo, ND; PHX, AZ; Clinton, IN; Indianapolis, IN. This position does require 25% travel throughout the United States.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:
* Promote and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures
* Lead high-impact procurement and supply chain projects from initiation to successful execution.
* Define project scopes, schedules, budgets, and stakeholder roles, ensuring alignment with business goals.
* Foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement within project teams and across functions.
* Proactively manage and expedite critical orders to ensure material availability and minimize delays.
* Collaborate with Operations and Logistics to address supply chain constraints and delivery issues.
* Analyze open order reports, escalate late shipments, and work closely with suppliers to accelerate deliveries.
* Support Operations in forecasting material needs and aligning procurement with production schedules.
* Serve as a key liaison between Procurement, Operations, Engineering, and Finance.
* Translate operational requirements into sourcing strategies and project execution plans.
* Facilitate regular cross-functional meetings, project updates, and issue resolution.
* Ensure adherence to internal policies, project governance, and compliance standards.
* Maintain processes and systems utilized by the company to perform site procurement related tasks and functions.
* Act as a liaison between the procurement team, internal customers, and accounting team to ensure that materials are properly received, and invoices are paid in a timely manner.
* Supports annual and quarterly planning activities.
* Provide clear project documentation, progress reports, and post-project evaluations.
* Support procurement audits, data tracking, and process improvement efforts.
* Lead the team of Expeditors to facilitate the timely resolution of issues with suppliers related to price, quality, delivery, condition, etc.
* Provide training, mentoring and career development for the Field Buyers
* Other duties as assigned



Qualifications

Education and Work Experience Requirements:
* Associate degree or Bachelors degree in Procurement, supply chain, operations, or project management
* A combination of education and/or 7+ years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, operations, or project management
* Leadership experience required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
* Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected in the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working to the company's Zero Injury principles
* Ability to directly supervise multiple employees in the department
* Strong background in expediting, vendor management, and project execution
* Proficient communication, interpersonal and organization skills along with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy and professionalism
* Ability to handle multiple tasks with simultaneous deadlines and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
* Familiarity with procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, Coupa, etc.) and supply chain data tools
* Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills
* Ability to work under pressure and prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the public
