Job Summary |
Auburn Advancement is excited to begin the search for a Coordinator of Development Programs to join our philanthropy team in the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering! In this position, you will support a variety of programs, events, and communications that connect and inspire current and prospective donors. Your skills and attention to detail will help bring strategic donor experiences to life, while your professionalism and service-oriented mindset will ensure every stakeholder feels valued and engaged.
What You'll Do
As Development Program Coordinator, you'll support donor engagement, events, and development operations that advance the mission of the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering. Your impact will span across four key areas:
Donor Engagement & Stewardship -Foster lasting relationships with donors through personalized stewardship and program support. Program & Event Coordination -Plan and execute donor events and engagement initiatives with precision and creativity. Data & Operations Management -Ensure smooth, accurate, and efficient development processes through strong systems and organization. Campus Collaboration & Communication -Serve as a collaborative liaison with internal teams and university-wide partners to strengthen donor experiences.

Essential Functions |
Your Responsibilities as Development Program Coordinator:
Purpose
- Coordinate stewardship activities for the College of Engineering to ensure consistent, meaningful engagement with donors
- Prepare briefing materials and profiles for donor and prospect visits
- Manage alumni and donor data reporting to support informed decision-making
- Provide a professional, mission-aligned experience to current and prospective donors
- Support the vision and direction of the Senior Director of Development and the Director of Engagement & Donor Relations
Collaboration
- Serve as a key liaison on college-wide and university-wide committees focused on donor relations, reporting, and stewardship
- Assist the Director of Engagement & Donor Relations and collaborate with staff across Advancement and Engineering
- Support the 100+ Women Strong program and coordinate with its program lead
- Provide courteous and helpful communication with internal partners, volunteers, alumni, and donors
Innovation
- Plan and help develop new engagement strategies and development-related programs
- Manage and grow giving programs such as Eagle and Sam's Circle, exploring creative ways to increase participation
- Research and identify prospect engagement opportunities through donor data analysis and reporting
Production
- Manage logistics and planning for meetings, events, and donor visits-including travel arrangements, vendor payments, and itineraries
- Maintain detailed records of donor interactions, agreements, and prospect activity
- Prepare and send donor correspondence, manage calendars, complete mail merges, and produce reports using Microsoft Office and advancement systems
- Handle administrative and tactical tasks that keep development operations running smoothly
- Attend and support College and University events as appropriate
