Job Summary
Recreation and Wellness at Auburn University is excited to begin the search for a Reception/Admin Support Assistant! This individual will work primarily at the Recreation and Wellness Services front desk. They will answer phones calls, greet individuals coming to the office for appointments, and perform a variety of administrative tasks. The student assistant is expected to work in a professional courteous manner while respecting the privacy of the individuals they encounter. Follow procedures set forth in the employee handbook, as well as all departmental and university policies.

Essential Functions

  • Greet visitors to our suite in a cheerful and welcoming manner to create and maintain an atmosphere that cultivates long-term participation.
  • Assist them with questions or directions as needed.
  • Answer the desk phones in a cheerful and welcoming manner.
  • Assist callers with inquiries and direct them to the correct resources as needed.
  • Assist team members/staff with various office projects and activities.
  • Assist in the mailing, filing or shredding of documents as needed.
  • Utilize Fusion software for point of sales transitions and reporting.
  • Familar knowledge of Microsoft Office products would be helpful.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current enrolled student at Auburn University


Expectations:

  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0
  • An outgoing person willing to engage with a diverse population.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Availability: Monday - Friday 9:00am-2:00pm.
  • Hours may vary based on the need.


Pay Rate $9.75/hour
Work Hours 10-20, Monday - Friday, Hours may vary based on need.
