The Program Facilitator/Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Assists American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center Coordinator with oversight of related AHA courses; BLS, PALS, ACLS, and PEARS
- Supports the Training Center Coordinator (TCC) in the development of comprehensive lesson plans, program enhancements and new AHA recommendation.
- Participates in our American Heart Association Training Center program by providing oversite to the instructor staff teaching AHA classes; BLS, PALS, ACLS and PEARS for BCH.
- Manages physical classroom space, simulation equipment and supplemental required for class.
- Assures instructors adherence to appropriate AHA lesson plan and learning objectives for each specific program.
- Completes all necessary paperwork on a timely basis and submits to AHA Training Center Coordinator.
- Utilizes effective public speaking techniques to communicate complex information clearly.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge applicable to the scope of Instructor level certifications; BLS, PALS, ACLS and PEARS.
- Facilitates course flow applicable to the scope of Instructor level certifications; BLS, PALS, ACLS and PEARS.
- Ensures all training materials are current and relevant to the needs of the audience.
- Oversees participant understanding, practical demonstrations and written evaluations.
- Provides constructive feedback to instructors to enhance course quality.
- When needed, instructs within the scope of certifications; BLS, PALS, ACLS and PEARS using the required materials, paperwork, equipment, and instructor to student ratios.
- Communicates any difficulties with equipment, students or other instructors directly to the Training Center Coordinator (TCC).
- Serves as a content expert in BLS, PALS, ACLS and PEARS materials.
- Evaluates and assesses classes for the purpose of performance improvement, including physical space, equipment and instructor staffing.
- Maintains a detail-oriented approach to classroom space, equipment management/maintenance, record keeping and program paperwork.
- Willing to travel off-site, within the communities served by BCH.
To qualify, you must have:
- 7 years of related work experience required.
- RN or Paramedic license/certification required.
- Current provider/instructor in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
- Experience with computer systems including, but not limited to, simulation equipment, Microsoft Office applications, and Google.
