Responsible for the day-to-day activities of operational pharmacy staff and for ensuring consistent maintenance of general pharmacy operations throughout the organization through a supportive role to the Pharmacy Operations Manager and by ensuring front line staff prepare and dispense sterile and non-sterile medication in accordance with the medication order and in adherence to requirements established by CHCO, the state board of pharmacy, federal law and other regulatory agencies where appropriate. Manages up to fifteen direct reports. This position is a minimum of 60% staffing. Staffing will include coverage of days off and vacations for regular Operational Pharmacists. SCOPE & LEVEL GUIDELINES: Guidelines are in the form of stated objectives for the section, unit, function, or project. Is normally the first level of full supervision in a classification series. Performs most elements of supervision over 50% of the time. May also perform the work of front-line staff as needed. COMPLEXITY: Work assignment is generally unstructured, and employee is responsible for assigning and supervising a variety of functions to achieve the objectives of the section, unit, or project. Duties performed involve weighing and evaluating factors requiring judgment, analytical ability, and problem solving. DECISION MAKING: Employee is responsible for simultaneous coordination and supervision of several functions, programs, or projects in various stages of completion. Primary responsibility for arranging and directing the work of two or more employees. COMMUNICATION: Contacts are of a non-prescribed nature involving the negotiation and resolution of problems and where exceptional degrees of discretion, judgment, and specialized knowledge are required in carrying out the programs and policies of an organization. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Under managerial direction, the employee has personal accountability for carrying out the work objectives of an organizational unit or section within the scope of established guidelines and the mission of the agency or department. Employee is expected to resolve problems that arise in the normal course of the work. Salary Information Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $140,287.01 to $210,430.52Hourly Salary Range: $67.45 to $101.17 Benefits Information Here, you matter.
