STS Technical Services is hiring Customer Service Clerks in Ridgeland, South Carolina to support day-to-day operations at TICO Manufacturing. This role provides administrative and technical support for buyers and the sales team, helping manage customer orders, expedite shipments, and maintain operational efficiency. We're looking for someone who's detail-oriented, team-focused, and driven to grow within the organization.
Job Summary
As a Customer Service Clerk, you will serve as a key liaison between internal departments and external customers. You'll assist with order processing, claims management, technical parts support, and more. The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing environment, a background in customer service, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general customer service support and assist with order placement
- Track and expedite customer orders in collaboration with purchasing and warehouse teams
- Assist customers with filing and tracking claims
- Provide technical parts assistance and documentation
- Support the sales team with clerical and administrative tasks
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a customer service or purchasing role
- Background in manufacturing, logistics, or automotive environments preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions
- Comfortable reading and interpreting safety procedures, manuals, and technical drawings
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with EPICOR or similar MRP systems preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Able to participate in Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
Education & Certification
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate degree preferred
