Summary / Role Purpose

Join the Ansys Customer Excellence team to partner with our customers to engineer what's ahead, solve their real-world engineering problems, create paradigm shifting solutions in support of customers' key business initiatives, and grow Ansys' business worldwide in multiple industries. As a recognized thought leader, technology evangelist & business advisor, you will identify emerging industry trends, map out high growth solutions and help guide Ansys technology roadmap. You will consult with customers on their multi-year journey to adopt the Ansys platform, advise Ansys management on organizational readiness, and counsel the corporate team on new industry/academic partnerships.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Leverage industry, customer and technology expertise to advance the state-of-the-art in pre-processing solutions across a variety of Ansys products and applications.
• Partner with Product Management, Business Unit, ACE, Sales and other internal stakeholders to understand the various Ansys pre-processing solutions and identify how these can be enhanced to deliver more customer value and grow Ansys business across different market segments.
• Participate in appropriate customer engagements to guide Ansys' technical and sales strategy pertaining to pre-processing solutions to grow our business and defend against our competition.
• Help create & grow expertise around pre-processing solutions leveraging resources within and outside Ansys.
• Operate at a global level within the Ansys organization and across various customer and partner organizations.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

• Required education and degree type: MS or PhD inMechanical/Chemical/Aerospace/Electrical Engineering or related field
• Required minimum years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS+12, MS+10, or PhD+7
• Demonstrated use of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, PLM software packages
• Subject matter expert in multiple relevant disciplines within Ansys' business and is/will be sought out for advice by other Ansys engineers and management
• Demonstrated understanding of engineering practices and product development, experience with building solutions using simulation technology and deploying those solutions within customers' engineering workflows
• Track record of trusted advisor to multiple large customers, delivering exceptional customer outcomes and worldwide revenue impact
• Experience with planning and executing corporate-level initiatives
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills
• Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to organize and manage multiple projects which are complex in nature, coordinate colleagues across geographically diverse locations
• Projects a professional image and demonstrates business acumen, driven to succeed
• Ability to travel domestically up to 25% of time

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Preferred education and years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS+16, MS+14, or PhD+11
• 15+ years of experience in advanced pre-processing solutions across a variety of industry segments and customer types; business and technical leadership experience.
• Ability to interact effectively with senior business managers and C-level executives
• Well known within the engineering community within and/or outside Ansys as a thought leader
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
