Duties And Responsibilities

Perform all activities necessary for an ARAMCO approved QC Supervisor.

Functions

  • Welding Activities
  • Project ITP / specific procedure related with Welding to be verified and understood before start of the job.
  • Raw Material Inspection as per the project specification
  • Checking and monitoring the welding consumable as per project approved WPS
  • Checking of weld fit up before, during and after welding as per WPS.
  • Checking the parameters as per the approved project WPS / ITP
  • After completing the welding, visual inspection to be performed and preparation of all necessary documents.
  • Coordinate with our Client and Project owner representative as per ITP for inspection / review of reports / submitting all the inspection report to client / Project owner representative.
  • Request NDT for the weld joint.
  • Coordinate with Client for review of NDT reports / Films and final reject / acceptance reports to be submitted to client.
  • Release for further activities.
  • Confirm all the documents are in place before release the job for further actions.
  • Painting/ Coating Activities
  • Project ITP / specific procedure related with coating to be verified and understood before start of the job.
  • Check coating raw material inspection and monitoring the condition as and when required.
  • Cleaning of the job before start applying any coat to be monitored if need any salt test etc to be checked and record.
  • Continue monitoring the weather condition as per the project specification and record.
  • After completing the cleaning, check the profile, salt test, dust test, check the surface temperature, humidity and ambient temperature.
  • Monitor all layer of coating including Wet film thickness and final Dry film thickness as per the procedure and record.
  • Any pull test to be performed make the sample and perform the pull test as per the project procedure.
  • For pipeline coating - Any heating is required heat the joint with induction coil to require temperature as per the procedure. Checking the temperatures suitable for further operation.
  • Monitoring the heat shrink sleeve applying and holiday test @ 25 K.V and check the D.F.T of applied sleeve.
  • Coordinate with our Client and Project owner representative as per ITP for inspection / review of reports / submitting all the inspection report to client / Project owner representative.
  • Make final report for coating and submit it to client for signature.
  • Release for further activities.
  • Confirm all the documents are in place before release the job for further actions.

Having minimum 10 year of experience including 5 years' experience in working offshore with Subsea Pipeline / Hookup job. Managing some additional QCs working on the same project. If any technical issues arise, solve the problem with Client / Project Owner representative as per the guidance of the project specific procedures.

Qualifications

Welding

  • AWI (CWI, SCWI)
  • CSWIP (3.1, 3.2)
  • CBT pass

Painting

  • BGAS (grade 3, 2,)
  • NACE (level 2, 3)
  • CBT Pass
