Security Officer - Armed Utility Driver

As a Security Officer - Armed Utility Driver in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer at this utilities location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. This role requires carrying a firearm and may involve driving responsibilities. You will interact with staff and visitors, offering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate: $19.34 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for and report any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents within the utilities location.
• Assist with access control by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points.
• Document observations and incidents according to site protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when required.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with AU Driver Policy Requirements.
• Texas Security Armed Guard Card required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
