Position Overview

The Financial Integrated Application Analyst supports the mission of OCHIN though complex configurations to support the front desk and revenue cycle applications within the Epic electronic health record (EHR) software for our member clinics. This role consults with members and internal staff to provide solutions that offer accurate, secure, and efficient workflows, with a focus on quality financial outcomes for our member organizations.

Essential Duties

  • Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
  • Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues.
  • Actively participate in the implementation of Epic G/L systems.
  • Manage multiple concurrent implementation projects as related to Epic.
  • Research and configure new payor/plan financial mapping
  • Complete Prelude GL configuration/build
  • Update Bridges tables
  • Update Interface X12 Message Processor
  • Configure batch jobs for payor and self-pay queries
  • Create and update Rules, Extensions and Action Lists used in Patient Workqueues, Data Filing, Response Filing and Prelude Confirmation records.
  • Document build specifications, team processes and complex workflows
  • QA OCHIN standard builds, Quarterly Update (SU) modifications, and other work orders.
  • Collaborate with members from other OCHIN teams to address integration issues.
  • Meeting with front desk/billing leads to review financial GL process and system build for new member installations.
  • Weekly internal financial analyst calls for communicating, tracking, and documenting new build/updates
  • Work and resolve GL issues identified during Go-Live and post Go-Live.
  • Develop and share workflow best practices.
  • Build, design, test, and document functionality of new GL features.
  • Provide elbow support to clinic staff during Go-Lives and Dress Rehearsals as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of relevant experience, an Associate degree with 4 years or equivalent relevant or 6 years of combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of GL accounting - ability to teach basic accounting methods
  • Experience with cash-based accounting transfer to accrual-based accounting
  • Certifications/proficiencies in one of the following: Epic Prelude, Eligibility, and Benefits Engine. Preference given to candidates with certification(s)
  • Understanding of Epic front and backend workflows is required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in similar or relevant role.
  • Work history in Healthcare IT is required.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Work Location and Travel Requirements

OCHIN is a 100% remote organization with no physical corporate office location. Employees work remotely from home and many of our positions also support our member organizations on-site for new software installations. The typical offer range for this role is minimum to midpoint, with the midpoint representing the average pay in a national market scope for this position. Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will consider a wide range of factors directly relevant to this position, including, but not limited to, skills, knowledge, training, responsibility, and experience, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
