Sunstar Engineering Americas (SEA), a highly successful manufacturer of automotive adhesives, sealants, and coating products, is seeking an experienced individual to join our team.

About the Position

The Production Control Specialist provides manufacturing support with material flow, operational planning/execution and coordinates production processes for multiple facilities. Using an MRP/ERP system, the Specialist will ensure inventory alignment and production capability. The Specialist will ensure on time pick-up and delivery of orders shipped out to customers.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage batch card generation and data entry in Syspro to support production processes.
  • Maintain updated production schedules and inventory reports through coordination with the Production Supervisor.
  • Monitor inventory levels against production schedules and alert the Production Control Manager of potential shortages.
  • Prepare and release sales orders, including creating shipping documentation (bills of material, packing slips, customs invoices, hazardous goods manifests).
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, DOT, FAA certifications required for shipping hazardous goods via various freight methods.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing/Logistics on special shipments (expedited, trial runs) and schedule transportation for all outgoing shipments.
  • Compile and transfer shipping and sales order documentation to accounting post-shipment.
  • Act as the main point of contact for drivers, ensuring accurate documentation for all shipments.
  • Address customer inquiries regarding shipments, delivery schedules, quotes, or billing, and provide necessary shipping documents.
  • Collaborate with QC and Operations teams to address daily shipping needs and ensure proper testing of shipped materials.



Requirements

  • High school diploma with at least 3 year of experience in customer service, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with computer systems is essential.
  • Minimal physical lifting required.
  • Certification in Hazmat shipping is preferred but not mandatory.
