City/State Harrisonburg, VA Work Shift Third (Nights) Overview: Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Senior Communications Assistant. Position Status: Full Time Position Location: Harrisonburg, VA (Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital Medical Center) Standard Working Hours: Evening Shift - 7:30 pm - 6:00 am (4 week days and 1 weekend day per week) - Will require rotating weekends and holidays Overview In addition to fulfilling the role of and meeting the expectations of a Senior Communications Assistant, the Team Lead will assist the Team Coordinator (TC) with daily operations, acting as a shift supervisor in the absence of the TC. The Team Lead will supervise the daily operations of their shift and provide training, guidance and support as needed. Responsible for being proficient in all downtime procedures and able to lead the team during outages or unforeseen events. Proficient in usage of all software and hardware utilized within the department. Is a proficient emergency dispatcher with detailed working knowledge of all emergency procedures. Acts as a liaison between operations staff and leadership. Frequently assigned special projects. Education High School Grad or equivalent Certification/Licensure No specific certification or licensure requirements Experience 3 years of related experience (customer service, computers, etc) .
