Responsibilities

As a Program Support Specialist, you will be an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, assisting in the observations, planning, interventions, and evaluation of patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Safety First: Monitor the milieu for potential safety hazards
  • Therapeutic Engagement: Utilize therapeutic approaches to manage the milieu and de-escalate situations, fostering a supportive atmosphere.
  • Transportation Coordination: Assist in coordinating transportation for patients to ensure they can access the care they need.
  • Clerical Support: Perform various clerical functions as directed, contributing to the smooth operation of the program.
  • Cultural Competence: Be oriented and educated in trauma-informed, culturally responsive care to meet the diverse needs of our patients.
  • Activity Coordination: Provide coverage for skills, goals, and activity groups, enhancing patient engagement.
  • Communication Liaison: Facilitate initial communication and scheduling of staffing meetings with schools upon patient admission.
  • Intake Support: Complete intakes as designated and perform non-clinical administrative tasks as delegated by Social Workers or RNs.

Qualifications

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree and have at least 1 year of experience working in behavioral health.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with office equipment.
  • thrive in fast-paced environments and can adapt quickly to changing situations.
  • strong communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.

Compensation for this role ranges from $22-$28 per hour depending on education and experience.
