Job Duties
- Demonstrates accountability for assigned areas through accomplishment of strategic goals, quality outcomes, and overall cost effectiveness and profitability
- Formulates and approves short and long-term goals, objectives, plans, processes, outcomes, and budgets for operational functions.
- Creates business plans and cost benefit studies for proposed new programs, equipment, and services.
- Develops and secures approval of fiscal year operating and capital budgets. Monitors execution to ensure that department operations remain within fiscal parameters.
- Develops, supports, and evaluates the professional environment to ensure employee engagement and retention. Fosters a work environment to promote high-performing teams.
- Holds staff accountable to achieve quality measures, efficiency targets, patient satisfaction targets, and patient safety standards.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, federal, and accrediting agency regulations and directives. Initiates corrective action as necessary.
- Assesses individual performance and, in collaboration with leader, defines areas for growth and provides opportunities for development.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree In Business Administration, Hospital Administration, Public Administration (with Health Services emphasis), Nursing Administration, or closely-related field.
- 10 years Experience in a health services environment with a demonstrated track record of success in progressively responsible assignments and leadership positions.
- Ability to resolve difficult problems and develop, manage, or monitor financial programs of considerable scope.
- Ability to continually assess internal and external political environments and plan and/or adapt strategies appropriately.
- Ability to interpret and implement operating policies, procedures, and programs.
- High degree of emotional Intelligence to successfully interact with a wide range of staff such as clinicians, board members, consumers, elected officials, and community leaders.
- Highly-developed people skills as well as analytical ability to understand and manage complex systems and programs.
Physical Demands Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
