Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Specialist to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal principles and procedures, with a particular focus on contract management and compliance. This role involves supporting the legal department in various capacities, including drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts, as well as providing general legal support to ensure the company always operates within the law.



Duties and Responsibilities

    Contract Management:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including NDAs, service agreements, and vendor contracts.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Maintain and update the contract management system, ensuring all contracts are accurately recorded and easily accessible.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of contract policies and procedures.
  • Legal Support:
  • Conduct legal research and provide summaries on various legal issues as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
  • Support the legal team in managing litigation and regulatory matters.
  • Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and take appropriate action.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of compliance programs and policies.
  • Conduct compliance audits and prepare reports on findings.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Organize and maintain legal files and records.
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel and other third-party service providers.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, hearings, and other legal proceedings.


Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in law, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a legal environment, preferably with a focus on contract management.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology and principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
