JOB OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for negotiating returns for all Corporate Inventory levels including both Saleable (slow moving, discontinued, and overstock) and all Non saleable (NSP). Responsible for the selection criteria and reconciliation of RTV (Return to Vendor) items. Makes inventory adjustments, contacts respective Business Partners, and coordinates communication of the proper documentation. Once acceptance or agreement is reached, responsible for processing the proper packing, documentation and shipping of products back to the Business Partner. Responsible for identification research including verification of correct item code, lot number, expiration date, as well as, tie back to original purchase order. Establishes, maintains and coordinates with assigned vendors the monthly returns process, including special handling and processes. Reviews on hand inventory of all overstock, discontinued and Non-Stocking Inventory for respective Vendors and processes return accordingly. Monitors and ensures federal and state compliance and internal coordination with Inventory Control on return of controlled substances. Provides regular reporting to management on various product and vendor information. Responsible for all incoming Free Goods received from all Field Sales Consultants.

Responsible for the selection criteria and reconciliation of RTV (Return to Vendor) items. Makes inventory adjustments, contacts respective Business Partners, and coordinates communication of the proper documentation. Once acceptance or agreement is reached, responsible for the accurate processing and the proper packing, documentation, and shipping of products back to the Business Partner for either credit or replacement.

Reviews on hand inventory both Saleable and Non-saleable for financial recoupment/financial containment of all overstock including slow, dead, discontinued, non-stocking inventory, and phase out for respective Vendors, negotiates return authorization and tracks internal paperwork (RRTV - Request for Return to Vendor) and forwards to respective DC Inventory Control Department for Inventory adjustment. After product pulled from WCS, must verify for accuracy and fold into normal NSP selection and Debit Memo processing and validate location closing if needed. Responsible for the execution of all Saleable Returns from active shelves and becomes the Gatekeeper in ensuring location elimination. At DC level, Item Master updates done timely, thereby creating the path for timely Sku Optimization.

Establishes, maintains, and coordinates with assigned vendors the monthly returns process. Coordinates the special handling and processes, involving physical inspection and controlled sorting and monitoring, to maintain maximum full value dollar recovery. Prorates all partial (less than full) HSI selling units that need to be adjusted. Keypunches line by line percent (%) calculations into NSP system to adjust down inventory value internally and to create a level pricing structure between Business Partner and Accounts Payable Department.

Provides various regular reporting on expiration date slotting, manufacturer lot number recording, offset P.O., vendor summary status, Accounts Payable vendor reconciliation and payback, Adverse Event reporting, Free Goods reporting, system maintenance, quarantine retention, vendor non-acceptance, zero location assignment (All System/Vendor Criteria & Characteristics), recall, etc.

Responsible for analyzing all inbound free goods received and compare same to forecast demand to ensure proper quantities go to shelf thereby avoiding excess inventory while maintaining inventory accuracy. Works with Field Sales Consultant and Marketing Division on proper disposition and receipt of free goods. (Return to Stock / Donate / Destroy)

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • PC skills, Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of HSI systems, including A system (Credit & Returns, NSP, Customer Service, A/P 2000) as well as E system (Zahn).

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Typically 2 or more years of related experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

Typically High School education, vocational training and/or on-the-job training.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.

SKILL:

Good understanding of the job and apply knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks. Apply acquired knowledge of procedures and external regulations.

COMPLEXITY:

Work on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. May be responsible for making independent procedural decisions.

SUPERVISION:

Work under minimal supervision and receive little to no instruction on daily work, receive general instruction on newly introduced assignments.
