ACCOUNTING MANAGER

FISCAL

FULL TIME - EXEMPT

General Summary: Maintains fiscal records that ensure the proper accounting and recording of Thrive Behavioral Health and its affiliated corporations' resources; provide financial statement analysis, and key management reports to Senior Staff.

Schedule: Mon-Fri, First Shift

Location: Warwick, RI

Salary: $70,000-$80,000, depending on experience

Essential Responsibilities:




  • Report to the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Oversee, review, and supervise the bi-weekly payroll via Paycom.
  • Assist with the supervision of 3 Finance Dept. Staff (Accountant/Payroll, Accountant/Payables, and Accountant/Rep. Payee).
  • Coordinate monthly and year-end financial closings.
  • Be the Lead with all monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Direct the annual 1099 reporting process.
  • Monitor and analyze cash accounts; supervise the financial recording of bank activity.
  • Administer monthly financial G/L account analysis.
  • Assist with the preparation of audit work papers, schedules, reports and other required documentation for all annual financial audits.
  • Assist with Federal and State grant invoicing and grant financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
  • Supervise the Rep Payee Program.
  • Supervise Accounts Payable.
  • Carry and enliven a positive Thrive image consistent with the Thrive's Guiding Principles and professional code of ethics.


Qualifications

Education, Experience and Competencies:




  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and bookkeeping experience required.
  • Public accounting, Audit, and/or Non-Profit experience is helpful.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrates expertise with computer spread sheet software.
  • Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.



Certifications, Licenses Requirements:



  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance which meets Rhode Island minimum standards required, or the ability to obtain necessary transportation in order to perform the responsibilities/tasks of the job.

All employees are considered benefit eligible if their schedule is 17.5 hours per week or more. Time-off balances are pro-rated for part-time employees. Insurance plans remain the same regardless of FT or PT benefit eligibility.
