We are recruiting an additional salesperson on the island of Maui. Specifically, we are looking to hire someone with proven skills in field sales and who is technically inclined. This is a professional sales position and will offer a competitive base salary as well as commission on everything you sell.

We are experts in providing and performing Preventative Maintenance on Electrical Distribution Systems.
Our customers are predominately in the commercial and industrial business sectors however, our service has application in virtually all business environments including office, medical, educational, and institutional. Specific services include and are not limited to, De-energized maintenance, Arc Flash studies, Infrared Thermographic imaging, Ultrasonic testing, and Power Quality analysis. It is not critical that you have experience in this industry, it is only critical that you have the energy and ability necessary to learn our business!

We are looking for a sales professional who has proven success initiating contact with new customers and experience in following up to sell preventive maintenance service agreements. Familiarity with, or, the aptitude to gain an understanding of electrical distribution systems and testing is a requirement. Experience selling maintenance contracts, service agreements, or any other intangible service is a plus.

The successful sales candidate must be highly skilled in cold calling, relationship building and closing. The salesperson must be able to qualify sales prospects, make effective sales presentations, and be competent and comfortable in contacting various appropriate level managers and individuals at customer sites, including senior management. This is strictly a B2B sales opportunity!

The individual we seek must be computer literate and able to use a laptop PC (including all associated software). Must be able to work independently, communicate effectively, and adequately answer customer's technical questions, concerns, and overcome objections. It is critical that this individual be energetic, motivated and has the drive necessary to develop business in this growing industry.

This position offers a competitive base salary plus incentive compensation, vehicle program, and reimbursed business expenses, medical/dental/vision plan, with PTO benefits.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Promote TEGG C.A.R.E. objectives.
  • Leadership communication coordination with TEGG GM, TEGG Sales Manager, TEGG Administrative Coordinator.
  • Attend and complete TEGG training as required, implement TEGG MSR business mod.
  • Implement and 100% comply with the MSR job duties as trained and required with 0% deviation Prospect and qualify sales opportunities.
  • Understand sales prospects organization and decision-making process and commit prospect to a decision making time table.
  • Schedule presentations, close sales.
  • Survey Electrical systems and interpret electrical drawings.
  • Prepare pricing and proposals for internal review and delivery to customers.
  • Delivery and review report with DES Sales Representative at customer turnover meeting.
  • Promptly address customer concerns in maintaining long-term positive relationships with 100% annual rate of Agreement Renewals

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Understanding of NFPA 70E and other electrical safety codes.
  • Technical certifications (e.g., Electrical Technician, OSHA Safety).
  • Experience in B2B service sales or technical sales.

  • TEGG Weekly Sales Activity Report
  • Proposal Activity Log
  • Exploratory Call Meetings - 6 per week
  • PSE Meetings - 3 per week
  • Option Development Meeting -3 per week
  • Solutions Presentation -3 per week
  • Maintenance Bookings-1 per week

Key Targeted Results (KTR):

  1. Annual Booking Quota - 3X Base Salary
  2. 100% Agreement Renewals

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of project management software/tools is a plus.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
