W. Eric Fasking & Associates, insurance staff counsel for State Farm Insurance Companies, is seeking a Legal Administrative Support team member to join the Jacksonville, FL Claim Litigation office. This is an excellent entry level opportunity on our Administrative Mail & File team for individuals seeking to gain legal experience with a focus on growth and development. While every day can provide different experiences and opportunities, a typical day involves providing administrative assistance to Law Department colleagues including attorneys and leadership in a fast-paced civil litigation environment. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, reception area duties, scanning high volumes of incoming mail, processing incoming and outgoing mail, updating case management software, providing clerical support, and other administrative duties as assigned. The office allows for collaborative environments with access to team members for support. This position is classified as an in-office essential role, meaning that the work arrangement calls for daily hours to be completed in the office. Work arrangements could change over time based on business needs. Hours for the position are Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.

LOCATION: 1301 Riverplace Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32207.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support and assistance to Law Department colleagues, including rotation reception duties
  • Reception area/phone responsibilities
  • Processing mail
  • New file intake
  • Ordering/downloading records
  • Other tasks as assigned
  • In-office essential role


Qualifications

Previous Experience

  • Office environment experience
  • Legal office environment experience is preferred, but not required

Key Skills required

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume workload while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service background and skills both in person and over the phone
  • Accurate and efficient in an electronic environment, including experience in Microsoft Office and Adobe
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Because work-life balance is a priority at State Farm, compensation is based on our standard 38:45-hour work week!

  • Potential starting salary range: $43,000.00 - $45,000.00.
    • Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
    • High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
  • Potential yearly incentive pay up to 9% of base salary
