Job Objective: Oversee the site Quality Control Laboratory team and Internal Audit program to ensure outgoing products are tested and inspected in an efficient, effective and timely manner that meets or exceeds the needs of the business and that the site continuously improves its quality systems compliance and audit-readiness. This role requires a proven leader with exceptional team management, people leadership and communication skills. Essential Job Functions:

- Promptly reports any safety incidents or near-misses to the appropriate personnel and leads the investigation process in collaboration with EHS
- Quality Control
- Oversee day to day testing and inspection activities in MHT Plastics and Textiles Quality Control Laboratories, including daily job assignments and lab priorities
- Oversee Laboratory Standards processing
- Manage & Develop QC Technicians, including cross training & fostering a team approach
- Identify and drive QC lab process improvements to improve lab process simplification, flexibility, timeliness and throughput
- Report daily QC metrics and identify issues and opportunities
- Oversee QC lab compliance to ISO, IATF, Industry, Velcro Companies and Customer requirements
- Lead the simplification and organization QC Laboratory documentation including procedures, records and databases, including the transition to any global tools, applications
- Collaborate with Quality and Process Engineers to identify QC failure trends and support investigations and improvement projects to drive down failure and scrap rates
- Manage MHT site Internal Audit Program, including recruiting and mentoring internal auditors, managing and updating internal audit schedule based on risks and business needs, overseeing and performing internal audits with follow up, and driving site-wide audit-readiness
- Identify and conduct "special audits" to support problem investigations or site external audit preparation
- Provide QC and Audit feedback to Operations, Engineering and Site Leadership to support investigations and improvement
- Oversee timely and effective implementation of MHT Quality Calibration program
- Generate relevant reports and summary information
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications: Minimum Required:
- 5 years' Quality Control and Quality Assurance
- 5 years' Supervisory experience, preferably in a Manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
- Coaching and teambuilding experience
- 5 years' Lead Auditor Experience
- IATF 16949:2016 Auditor
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience in metrics reporting and analysis
- Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Lean methods
- Experience in ISO and other Quality System Standards
- Experience collaborating with Manufacturing and Engineering
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
Desired:
- Experience with electronic Quality Data systems and tools
- Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems
- Experience with metrology equipment
- Expertise in Technical Documentation (specifications, drawings, standards, reports)
- Corrective and Preventive Action
- Experience working with Military, Automotive and Medical industries
