This position will serve as the Director of Operations for Women's Basketball for North Carolina State University Athletic Department which competes as a
NCAA Division I team in the Atlantic Coast Conference. |
Essential Job Duties |
This position will serve as Director of Player Personnel for the NC State Women's Basketball team.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as a mentor and role model for Women's basketball student-athletes.
- Assist the Women's Basketball Director of Operations and Assistant Director of Operations with the day-to-day operations of the NC State Women's Basketball Program and Dail Basketball Center.
- Assist Women's Basketball Director of Operations and Assistant Director of Operations with personnel development and on-campus recruiting; track evaluation forms of prospects.
- Assist the Women's Basketball Director of Operations and Assistant Director of Operations with the daily monitoring of student-athlete schedules, including class attendance, study table, tutor sessions, strength and conditioning activities, practices, meeting financial obligations (e.g. housing, meals, parking, etc.), life skills sessions, etc.
- Serve as liaison with the Academic Support Program for Student-Athletes and monitor student-athlete academic progress to best ensure standards are being met.
- Serve as liaison with Student-Athlete Development staff; coordinate student-athlete participation in annual programming and community service outreach efforts.
- Serve as primary contact for NC State Alumnae and coordinate Women's Basketball annual Alumnae Reunion.
- Serve as liaison with the Wolfpack Club and Executive Senior Associate AD regarding Wolfpack Club requests.
- Assist in the planning of special functions, including the annual Women's Basketball Banquet.
- Coordinate in-season, on-campus practice visitations (not participation) with alumnae, coaches and prospects.
- Ensure working knowledge of NCAA rules, University policies and procedures, and Athletic Department rules and regulations; "Ask Before You Act".
- Develop and participate in presentations and speaking engagements for groups at recruiting functions and in the Raleigh community.
- Manage special projects for Women's Basketball, as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 2 years prior experience working or playing in a Division 1 Women's Basketball basketball environment
|
Other Required Qualifications |
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
|
Preferred Qualifications |
- Prefer 2 years experience working in Division 1 Women's Basketball Collegiate program.
