LeMay, a Waste Connections company, is currently hiring a Welder to join our team in Centralia, WA. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work, values teamwork, and is looking for stability and growth within a well-established company. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with some flexibility and overtime as needed. Pay: $22.00 to $29.00 per hour, depending on experience. Perks: This full-time, stable position includes a $50 monthly tool allowance, company-provided uniforms (shirt and pants or coveralls), and a $200 annual work boot voucher. Employees are also eligible for a safety bonus of up to $1,600 per year. Learn more about our company culture by watching this short video: https://youtu.be/mbxH4agnlLE?si=Yco_jjqs1VlNhPKX About the Role: * Perform welding and fabrication on dumpsters and containers, with occasional work on truck bodies and intermodal trailer containers * Drive a company flatbed vehicle to pick up parts or containers (no CDL required) * Use wire feed MIG welders, plasma cutters, and torches for repair and fabrication * Paint containers using rollers and brushes (no spray painting involved) * Lift and move heavy materials; must lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted (cranes and forklifts available) * Operate a propane-powered forklift (5000 lb. capacity) and telehandler forklift -certification provided after hire * Work closely with a small, two-person team-communication and teamwork are essential * Prioritize safety on the job by following all safety protocols and procedures Requirements: * Welding experience (formal training not required-backyard welding is welcome) * Experience with MIG welding and common fabrication tools * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record * Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted and work safely around heavy equipment * Comfortable working in both outdoor and indoor shop environments * Team-oriented with strong communication skills * Forklift experience is a plus (certification provided after hire) * Reliable, self-motivated, and safety-conscious * Tools are not required to start, but employees are expected to build their toolset using the monthly tool allowance * SAFETY SENSITIVE: YES Work Environment: * Primarily outdoor and shop-based work * Regular exposure to dust, fumes, grease, and welding smoke * Frequent loud noises from equipment and tools * Physical work, including standing, bending, and lifting * Variable temperatures depending on weather-can include hot, cold, or wet conditions * All necessary PPE is provided and required to maintain a safe work environment Safety is our top priority, and we are committed to providing a work environment where our employees can thrive while being safe and well-supported.
