About the role:

Within the Global Transportation Organization, the Global Trade Compliance team is responsible for the compliance of all operational movements in international trade. The applicant has the opportunity to be a part of a team that assists in ensuring patients receive lifesaving medical devices. This person will have the opportunity to optimize costs, manage risk and improve compliance within a growing company.

This role requires a hybrid work mode at any US BSC location.Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment VISA for this position at this time and we are unable to offer relocation.

Your responsibilities will include:



  • Manage US Drawback program and coordinate filings with our Drawback Broker
  • Manage Free Trade Agreement Programs Globally for Boston Scientific
  • Understand and apply Rules of Origin, complete Certificates of Origin
  • Respond to Government inquiries relating to Free Trade Agreements
  • Communicate to upper leadership on status of Drawback and FTA programs
  • Assist with other Trade Compliance projects as required.



Required qualifications:



  • High School Diploma
  • 3+ years of experience in Import and Export compliance
  • Experience with Drawback
  • Strong understanding of COO, Valuation and Classification
  • Experience with CBP's Automated Commercial Environment (ACE)
  • Experience with Free Trade Agreement and Preference Programs
  • High Intermediate knowledge and comfort using Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.



Preferred qualifications:



  • Bachelors or higher degree
  • Experience with implementing automated solutions and/or AI solutions
  • Knowledge of U.S. FDA import regulations and Medical Devices
  • Experience with SAP ECC and SAP GTS and Global Trade Compliance Software
  • Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) and Certified Customs Specialist (CCS)
  • Experience with Reconciliation

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) - see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
