Job Summary:

The Resource Family Partner (RFP) assess, coordinate, advocate, and link direct support services for Relatives/NREFM caregivers and the children in their care. Relatives/NREFM caregivers provide for the educational, physical, emotional, psychological, and social needs of the relative children in their care until the biological family can be reunited or another permanent placement plan can be implemented. The RFP's main responsibility is to ensure placement stability and prevent disruption in care. They are responsible for developing a plan for permanency in collaboration with the caregiver, CSW, and other agency partners involved.

The RFP is an independent employee who can handle multiple tasks at one time. They are knowledgeable about the community and what resources are available and have an understanding of the impact of trauma, grief, and loss as it impacts the families on their caseload. The RFP follows all Penny Lane Centers policies and procedures regarding the Heart Centered Culture, cultural sensitivity, and cultural awareness. The RFP supports the agency mission and vision in their interaction with children, youth, families, and partner agencies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA) in psychology, social work, or related field preferred plus a year of full-time experience at an agency providing social services or similar program services to children or families.
  • Or a high school diploma and at least 32 units from an accredited University, College or Community College, with at least 16 units in Social Work, Social Sciences, Humanities, Public Administration or Public Health plus a year of full-time experience at an agency providing social services or similar program services to children or families.
  • Bilingual Spanish Required (verbal and written skillset).
  • Valid California driver's license; current automobile insurance; have and maintain a clean driving record acceptable to the organization's insurance company; have immediate access to his or her vehicle during work hours.

Position Location: North Hills, CA

Salary Range: $23.39 - $33.77 per hour

Additional $2.00 per hour bilingual Spanish differential.
