Own a core set of APIs focused on new member originations, expanding into credit cards and core systems-driving architecture, delivery, and technical decision-making.
  • Champion Agile Engineering Excellence:
Uplift engineering practices-Sprint planning, test coverage, logging, observability, and deployment readiness-while coaching a team that's ready for growth.
  • Drive Planning and Execution Discipline:
Build accurate project plans, track team velocity, use ADO (not spreadsheets), and ensure the team meets key deliverables with urgency and clarity.

Mentor engineers, guide through ambiguity, and create a delivery mindset focused on learning, accountability, and ownership.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally for Impact:
Partner closely with stakeholders across PMO, core banking, and business units to align priorities, clarify API contracts, and deliver member-first experiences.
  • Deliver Member-Centric Solutions:
Ensure APIs are built to improve member experience-from faster account openings to seamless servicing-and support broader digital transformation.
  • Engage in Strategic Tech Leadership:
Participate in governance, financial planning, vendor management, and roadmapping, contributing to the overall technology vision.
  • Fuel Innovation Through Learning:
Stay up to date on modern architecture, DevOps, and platform trends to continuously evolve our ecosystem and team capabilities.
  • Be a Hands-On Technical Leader: Bring deep, hands-on expertise in Azure, C#, and .NET to guide technical decision-making, unblock complex issues, and ensure engineering solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with modern cloud-native best practices. Set a technical bar by actively reviewing architecture, design, and code across the platform.

This isn't just about ticking off tasks on a list. It's about making a significant, positive change in BECU's journey, where your contributions are valued, and your growth is continually fostered.
