The Housing Facilities Technician II position is responsible for all maintenance, inspection and repair of inside and exterior areas around a housing building including ventilation, drywall repair, painting, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and alarm systems. The staff member in this role will adhere to all policies, procedures, safety programs and records. The staff member will perform all levels of maintenance activities on housing buildings. The staff member will complete work orders assigned, develop and maintains preventive maintenance schedules and procedures and coordinates all maintenance needs with all technicians. The staff member will mentor all technician I. The staff member is responsible for handling housing turnover which includes cleanout and prep for the next client/tenant. The staff member will work with Housing Staff to follow the Land Lord Tenant act for access to the units. The staff member in this position will participates in on-call rotating schedules.

* Assisting with repairs inside and outside of buildings.

* Follows all preventive maintenance procedures.

* Assisting with painting and repairs drywall as needed to keep a professional image.

* Replaces all batteries in Thermostats, Facets, Toilets and other devices.

* Must maintain their designated fleet vehicle to Terros Standard.

* Coordinates HVAC repairs and with Vendors.

* Monitors and assess landscape conditions at properties to ensure landscapers are performing according to contract.

* Replace electrical cords as needed and ensure that replacement cords are working properly. If necessary, initiate vendor procurement for more complicated installation, troubleshooting.

* Monitor on site trash collection and disposal, repair and replacement of containers with the City of Phoenix.

* Works required hours, is available during non-work hours as needed and responds to emergency calls in a timely manner.

* Participates in on-call rotating schedules.

* Participates on assigned committees.

* Assures patient safety, privacy and confidentiality, and considers age specific issues as appropriate or required. Assures safety of employees and visitors. Ensures compliance and adherence to all regulatory requirements. Assists in maintaining security systems including lock identification, key file, and automatic access codes for facility locks and equipment requiring keys. Issues keys as authorized and maintains a record of all keys and codes issued.

* Assist Commercial/Residential Facilities manager in offices moves and other projects

* Completes safety inspections, using a checklist which include identifying potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. Perform routine inspections of fire extinguishers, smoke detectors and other related items.

* Collaborates with department on special projects and participate in assigned Terros Health committees as required.

Qualifications

* High School diploma/GED equivalent

* Proven demonstration of mechanical aptitude

* Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery.

* Understand the requirements and guidelines of maintaining housing units and commercial buildings.

* Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.

* Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets

* Must have valid Arizona driver's license, be 21 years of age with minimum 3 years driving experience and meet requirements of Terros Health's driving policy.

* Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of assuming role.

* Must pass a TB Test.
