Valiant is currently seeking Technical Instructors-Gaming to join our team at Joint Base Lewis - McChord, WA. Serves as a Virtual Battle Space (VBS) training integrator and operator supporting the U.S. Army client's mission. Supports home station training using VBS, develops and tailors scenarios to support unit training. Trains personnel as operators and administrators of VBS and provide games for training general support for all gaming applications and services. Conducts training classes ranging from 3-5 days per training week on an 8 hour per day basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
- Plan, prepare, and deliver mission command integration and integrate requisite Live, Virtual, Constructive, Gaming, and Mission Command (LVCG-MC) systems in training environments. Participates in New Equipment Fielding and Training.
- Use prescribed lesson plans developed by the institutional Army, provided by the system program manager, TRADOC or created locally. Occasionally these POIs are modified to suit the training needs of the resident unit commanders.
- Manages student attendance statistics, learning progress, and coordinates for course completion certificates.
- Solicits student feedback, conducts periodic review of course content, and modifies training scenarios, databases, and learning products to meet unit leader objectives and maintain pace with changes to Army training, doctrine, and policy.
- Maintain classroom facilities and provide tier 1 technical support to computers, tactical boxes, and network media. Reconfigure and reestablish classrooms as needed. Most classrooms consist of a simple closed network.
- When necessary, provides multi-functional instructor and technical support to the Mission Command team, a separate contract staff element providing planning drills and integrated command post exercise collective training to units.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- 4 years' experience in military training and training support or other national defense services.
- Possess the Additional Skill Identifier "H" Instructor Certificate desired.
- 2 years' experience as an instructor desired.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution desired.
- Completed the Officer Basic Course, Advanced NCO Course, Battle Staff Course, Intermediate Level Education or equivalent level military schooling.
- Experience in operations and training at Battalion or higher-level operations.
- Familiar with digitally integrated Command Post Operation.
- Familiar with Army Mission Command Systems, e.g. JBC-P, CPCE, MMC.
- Knowledge of Mission Command, Military Decision-Making Process, and other operational planning functions.
- Excellent organizational, research, writing, and communication skills.
- Must be proficient in the following Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Position requires close customer contact and the ability to work independently and creatively.
- Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, as well as standing for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds when needed.
- Work in both in buildings and outdoor environments.
- Outdoor environments may involve inclement weather conditions, carrying equipment over uneven terrain, and maneuvering equipment in tight spaces.
