This position will be based inElizabeth, NJand requires regular travel within your assigned territory. Occasional travel to company sites may be required as needed.

Are you a self-confident, enthusiastic individual with a passion for sales and a flair for creativity? We are seeking a dynamic Retail Sales Representative to join our team in New Jersey. In this role, you will represent our distributor products to retail establishments, combining your product knowledge and common sense to achieve sales excellence and drive business growth.

As a Retail Sales Representative, you will be responsible for conducting distributor business within your assigned territory, ensuring that sales targets are met through pre-planned, effective calls. You will conduct tastings at customer locations, gain insights into competitive sales trends, and maintain pricing structures to stay ahead of the market. Your understanding of sales trends and the unique strategies of each decision maker will be crucial in achieving and maintaining 100% distribution in every account.

Your entrepreneurial spirit and ability to listen to retail decision makers will set you apart. You will use data, facts, and figures to create persuasive sales presentations and overcome objections. Providing guidance to Merchandisers, you will ensure that store shelves, cold boxes, and floor displays are creatively merchandised to stimulate impulse sales. You will also manage accounts receivable, inventory, and ensure product rotation to maintain optimal stock levels.

We value accuracy and timeliness, so maintaining up-to-date route cards, account records, and providing accurate daily sales reports will be key. You will project a professional appearance while being resourceful, friendly, and persistent. What You Will Need:

• Bachelor's degree; OR Senior class standing at a college or university and a Bachelor's degree is successfully completed and confirmed by the time of hire OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 4 years of sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 1 year of Gallo or affiliated or non-affiliated distributor merchandising or sales experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Required to obtain a solicitor's permit as required by state/locality.
• Required to travel by automobile to perform job duties.
• Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver's license based on the position's location within 30 days of hire.
• Required to lift and move cases of product that weighs up to 60 pounds including lifting overhead.
• Required to work weekends for special functions/events when necessary.

What You Will Set You Apart:

• Bachelor's degree plus 2 years retail sales experience or 2 years wine sales experience.

Compensation:

• Hiring salary range posted: $55,000 / year in commission + incentives
• Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
